Dr Nzekwue is one of the Co-founders of The Blackwell Clinic.

With her medical degree from the prestigious University College London (2007), and becoming a GP in 2012, she has cultivated a career that seamlessly blends General Practice with specialised expertise in reproductive health and genitourinary medicine.

Dr Nzekwue’s clinical repertoire is extensive, encompassing all facets of general practice across all age groups. Her services include, but are not limited to, obesity medical management with both oral and injectable medications, paediatrics and neonatology, obstetrics and gynaecology, women’s health, contraceptive and sexual health medicine, mental health care and aesthetic medicine.

She is adept at performing minor procedures such as the insertion and removal of intrauterine devices and contraceptive implants, administering contraceptive Depo injections and providing cryotherapy for genital warts.

Additionally, she offers orthopaedic steroid joint injections for conditions affecting the shoulders and knees, as well as treatments for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) affecting the armpits.

Her commitment to evidence-based medicine is evident through her active involvement in clinical research. Currently, she serves as a co-principal investigator in the PEARLS Trial, which investigates the efficacy of maintenance therapy in preventing exacerbations and progression of vulval lichen sclerosis—a chronic inflammatory skin condition with significant implications for patients’ quality of life and psychological well-being.

Dr Nzekwue’s dedication to medical education is equally noteworthy. In 2023, she was recognised with an Outstanding Teaching Nomination at the Medical Education Awards for Oxleas NHS Trust, reflecting her commitment to mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals. She continues to contribute her specialist knowledge to the NHS, specifically within Oxleas NHS Trust, and has given multiple trust-wide medical educational seminars to date.
