Microneedling, is a cosmetic procedure that involves using a device with tiny needles to create controlled microscopic punctures to the upper layers of the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural healing response, increasing the production of new collagen and elastin, which help to rejuvenate the skin resulting in brighter, healthier and younger looking skin.

Microneedling can be used to address a variety of skin concerns, such as fine lines and wrinkles, scars (including acne scars), pigmentation, uneven skin tone, and texture irregularities. It is commonly performed on the face & neck but can be used on other areas of the body and scalp

During microneedling treatment, a tailored application of serums from Mesoestetic or Skin Ceuticals is used to optimise results of the procedure to improve your specific skin concern. These can include hyaluronic acid, essential vitamins, minerals or other beneficial ingredients that can penetrate deeper into the skin through the micro-channels created by the needles, helping to nourish and rejuvenate the skin.

Microneedling works great as a stand-alone treatment but can be used in conjuction with toxin injections, PRP, mesotherapy, skin boosters, chemical peel and dermal fillers.

Treatment sessions can vary depending on the condition and treatment goals. Typically, 3-5 sessions are recommended 2 weeks apart on the face and 6 weeks on the body areas. However results can be seen after just one session. Microneedling treatment repairs the skin and so is effectively permanent, however maintenance treatments maybe required to achieve optimal results
