At The Blackwell Clinic, we recognise that mental health is just as important as physical health and it deserves the same quality of care, timeliness, and empathy. Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, low mood, or a long-term psychiatric condition, we provide thoughtful, evidence-based support tailored to you.
Our GP-led mental health service includes primary care management of common mental health conditions, structured reviews, psychiatric step-down care following specialist input, and onward referrals where needed. With appointments available Monday to Saturday, we offer both in-person and virtual consultations—with same-day or next-day access.
All appointments are confidential and led by GPs with an interest in psychiatry and primary care mental health (RCGP, NICE). We follow the latest guidelines on prescribing, monitoring, and escalating when needed.
When appropriate, we can refer you to private psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, or community support based on your preferences and needs.
Initial consultations are 30 minutes. However patients have the choice of longer appointments (40 or 60 minutes) based on the time they feel they need or the complexity of concern. Follow-up appointments may be 20–30 minutes depending on the complexity of care. Mental health support may be short-term or ongoing. We create personalised plans that evolve with your mental wellbeing. Long-term support plans along with medication reviews can be reviewed monthly or quarterly.
