Before any skin lesion removal, patients must book a consultation with one of our experienced dermatology doctors. This appointment includes a detailed examination of the lesion(s), often using dermoscopy to assess the skin’s structure in depth. During this assessment, we will confirm the suitability for removal, advise on the most appropriate removal method (shave excision, elliptical excision, cryotherapy, etc.), and provide accurate pricing information.
While many procedures are scheduled for a separate day, in some straightforward cases, removal may be performed on the same day as the consultation. A deposit is taking when booking in your skin surgery procedure.

We use local anaesthetic, so the procedure is generally pain-free. You may experience mild discomfort afterwards for which you can take paracetamol.
Any skin surgery carries a risk of scarring. However, our techniques are designed to minimise cosmetic impact.
Most patients resume normal activities the same or next day, depending on the procedure. Exercise may need modification or reduction for up to a few weeks depending on the procedure. You will be provided with tailored advice depending on your procedure. You will also be sent wound care advice post procedure to answer any questions you may have.
